Scientific evidence has proven that the Holocaust happened and is not a hoax. Holocaust is a word of Greek origin meaning “sacrifice by fire” (Hitchens). Millions of people lost their lives, families, and loved ones in this horrible trauma started by Nazi Germany. The Holocaust was the mass murder of Jews under the German Nazi regime during the period of 1941-1945. More than six million European Jews, as well as other members of the persecuted groups, such as gypsies and homosexuals, were murdered at concentration camps (Lazar). To the Anti-Semitic Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, Jews were an inferior race, an alien threat to German racial purity and community (Gianz). After years of Nazi rule in Germany, which Jews were constantly persecuted, Hitler’s “final solution”- now known as the Holocaust- came to fruition under the cover of world war, with the mass killing centers constructed in the concentration camps of occupied Poland (Hitchens). Holocaust denial is directed against people who claim that the genocide of Jews during War World II did not occur (Holocaust Museum). A number of parties have proven that Holocaust denial claims as being based upon flawed research, biased statements, and deliberately falsified evidence (Brussels). Courts of law have also rejected Holocaust denial claims (Shermer).
